What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness means awareness.
Awareness of what's happening in your body, to your body, and around your body.
As a mama, your body goes through the ringer and it's incredibly important to pay attention to what it needs and give it the special attention and care it requires.
About this course
In this course, you'll learn what mindfulness is and how it relates to your journey through motherhood--no matter how far in you may be. You'll also learn how to listen to your body and give it what it needs to decrease the stress hormone cortisol, manage your fear responses and anxiety symptoms, and fight the negative self-talk of mommy guilt.
This course is not about parenting. It is not about taking care of your child. This course is about taking care of you, and, in turn, that will give back more to your child than you ever imagined.
Before you get started, write down how you feel right now. Take a selfie. Record where you started.
You won't believe where you end up.

Why Did I Create This Course?
As a mom to a child with intense medical issues, I spent most of the first year of her life in the hospital. She endured multiple surgeries, procedures, and even once coded and we were told we'd lost her.
Mindfulness and self-compassion was how I managed my stress and pain during that year, and still today while her health continues to struggle. I've seen it work, I've felt it work, and I utilize it myself.
I'm really passionate about giving these tools to other moms who need it like I needed it!
Ground Yourself
A big part of mindfulness incorporates grounding yourself in your body. We'll teach you tips and techniques that will help you focus on yourself and reduce symptoms of anxiety.
Practice Self-Care
Self-care has become a social media trend #treatyoself, but it's actually more important than you realize...and not as easy to implement on a busy mama's schedule as you might hope!
Self Compassion
Mindfulness is one of the three main components of self-compassion. It's easy to understand logically, but can you emotionally accept it? Let's talk about how to internalize your worth.
